9:30 am Classic Worship
Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey elicits shouts of hosanna “God save us” to which the pharisees ask he silences the crowd. His refuses to give in to a status quo where the poor suffered in silence but now, no one can be hushed not even the stones. The same pharisees will lead the crowd to shouting so Jesus can be silenced by death. Do we shout loudly when affected yet our loudly silent on what we assume is not our business? Do we demand silence from troubled shouting siblings or like Jesus validate their hosannas?
11:45 am Common Ground
Common Ground is an inclusive contemporary worship experience encouraging all to take the next step in faith and justice. All Common Ground activities will take place on Sundays at 11:45 in the Sanctuary. On Worship Sundays, we’ll experience upbeat contemporary music, Scripture lessons, and a message that speaks to faith in action.
