What is threatening about summer fruit? Its time has come and it is on the cusp of decay. Once the summer feast has been had, fall and winter follow shortly behind. While things seem good for Israel at the time, judgement from God is just around the corner as a result of how "good" the (rich) people of Israel have it now. The placement of the economy above all other considerations in ancient Israel had repercussions for the kingdom. How are we on a similar path today as a society and what can we do about it?
11:45 am Common Ground
Common Ground is an inclusive contemporary worship experience encouraging all to take the next step in faith and justice. All Common Ground activities will take place on Sundays at 11:45 in the Sanctuary. On Worship Sundays, we’ll experience upbeat contemporary music, Scripture lessons, and a message that speaks to faith in action.
